Comments: Caught 18 large Northern Pikeminnow at Hayward Lake today. fished in 18 feet of water using gibbs Koho spoons which have amazing action. Had small rainbows or cutthroats follow it to the shallows I actually saw them but no takers. This lake is nicely clear and I could see small fish, probably juvenile Kokanee cruising the shallows. Lots of rising trout but they we're mostly small: 5-8 inches long. there are many different lures you can use for pikeminnow in Hayward Lake such as small spoons and spinners and a light action spinning rod. tight lines
